Some simple brain teasers, how long will it take you to get the answer? I had to read these a few times to get them, OK, I don’t feel that smart.

I have no head, and a tail I lack,

But oft have arms, and legs, and a back;

I inhabit the palace, the tavern, the cot-

‘Tis a beggarly residence where I am not.

If a monarch were present (I tell you no fable),

I still should be placed at the head of the table.

What am I?

Here is another

Two children went to town to sell their eggs, one had more in her basket than the other; the one who had the most said to the other, “Give me one of your eggs, and then I shall have double the number you have.”-”No”, said the other; “give me one of yours, and then we shall have equal”.

How many eggs had each of these children?

 

I gotta say I felt really silly for even having to think about the first but I guess the answer is a chair… right? As for the eggs, I girl had to have 3 and the other 5. I think… hmmmm
