How Movies or Motion Pictures Work

From 1936 I think, this is a black and white movie that tries to explain how motion pictures work and why we see a continuing sequence of images.

Old movies are pretty interesting because they look so simple. We have become so used to special effects and computer animation. Seeing simple diagrams in a video and still being entertained, almost seems foreign.

The movie description is this
“MOTION PICTURES ARE MADE POSSIBLE BY PERSISTENCE OF VISION. ITS PRINCIPLES EXPLAINED WITH ANIMATION, DIAGRAMS. STUNT DRIVER ROLLS CAR OVER. GOOD SHOTS AUDIENCES, PATRONS ENTERING THEATRE, PROJECTION EQUIPMENT. PROCESS SHOT OF AUDIENCE WATCHING FILM.”

This movie is narrated and has all sorts of diagrams and visuals to help with the explanation of how movies work. There is also a big crash at the end, starring a Chevy, of course.
