I am a grat animal lover myself, i belong to the RSPB birds protection society and the WDCS which tries to protect Whales and marine mammals worldwide from hunting etc. I have a Shih Tzu dog called Jasper he is 10 years old, i have had him since he was 8 weeks old. He is a good companion i think dogs normally are i have had three dogs before Jasper and they have all been really lovely. I do think that sometimes animals can be better than some people. When you look at what the human race has done to each other in the past and are still doing it sadly. Joy Adamson the famous person who wrote the book (Born free) about Elsa the lioness who became her companion that she could never love anyone or anything as much as she did Elsa, poor George must have felt somewhat hurt at that remark but there you are that is how Joy felt about her love for Elsa she must have been so sad when Elsa died so young a lioness. When i lost my other dogs through illness and one unfortunately through a car accident i was so upset as he was such a lovely dog.
